What is Giving Tuesday?

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity, whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea:  whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

How #GivingTuesday
Helps Your Local
Wakulla Senior Center

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 between now and Christmas to benefit the Wakulla Senior Center in their 2022 Calendar year.  After the pandemic hit the center hard with closures and mandates, and now that regulations have been implemented to make a safe return, we are eager to look forward to next year as the year we really hit the ground running.

Your donations will go to our center's meal programs, free transportation for seniors programs, and many other wonderful causes and events that go on at the Wakulla Senior Center.  Any donation amount is appreciated, from 25 cents to whatever you feel like you can give, we know that every donation made in good faith is returned in equal measure.

To donate, please click here or any of the "Donate for Giving Tuesday" buttons you see around our website.
