Free Senior Meals Served At The Center

Every day at the Wakulla Senior Center, we serve FREE HOT MEALS FOR SENIORS.  To sign up for meals, all the senior or caretaker needs to do is contact Miss Felicia the day before the meal BEFORE 4:30 PM to let her know you will be eating at the center the next day.

Meals on Wheels

Home delivered Meal Nutrition Services are targeted to persons 60 years of age or older. Priority shall be given to older individuals with the greatest economic and social need, with preference given to lower- income individuals with limited English proficiency, and older individuals residing in rural areas. In additional to meeting established eligibility, individuals must be home bound, and physically, mentally, or medically unable to attend a congregate nutrition program.



Other individuals eligible to receive home delivered meals include: The spouse of an eligible home bound individual, regardless of age, if the provision of the collateral meal supports maintaining the persons at home. Individuals with disabilities, regardless of age, who reside at home with eligible individuals and are dependent on them for care.

Contact the DEPARTMENT OF ELDER AFFAIRS for the state of Florida at 1-800-963-5337 for a telephone screening to see your eligibility.

When are meals served?

Meals on Wheels is a meals assistance program designed to help seniors 60 and older who are home bound. A volunteer will deliver meals once a week along with other nutritional snacks and beverages.

Q: Are Guests Required To Wear Masks During Events or Lunch At The Wakulla Senior Center?

A: Masks are not required to join in on events at the Wakulla Senior Center, though patrons may choose to wear a mask if they feel more comfortable. No patron or staff member is required to wear a mask at this time. For more questions or concerns, please call 850-888-1023.
